Physical Description:

With broad shoulders, tall legs, and huge paws, Midnight has that classic dominant look to him typical to that of any Alpha male. In the wintertime, his face is blanketed by layers of fur and makes his head look rounder. When that sheds, he has a narrow face with features as piercing as his golden eyes. His pelt of chocolate brown (black at some points) is perfectly suited for the pines of the Forest Fire territory and makes hunting that much easier for him. On his chest, he has a little splash of white, whereas his shoulders, spine, and haunches are lined with a tannish hue. Midnight's fur looked glossly black during his early puphood, thus the reason for his naming.

Personality:

Being an inherited leader of a powerful pack, Midnight had always been the most dominant out of all his playmates. He played rough, and sometimes went a little too far, but he was disciplined well by his loving mother and taught many things by his wise father. Today, Midnight has been shaped into a knowlegable leader himself, taking pride in his pack and the loyalty they share. Though he may sometimes seem a bit gruff on the outside, it's only his more serious side seeping around his hidden corners; he worries about a lot of things and for those who know him well, he can't hind it. He has a good heart and some of the purest compassion you may have ever seen. Despite that, however, he can be pretty suspicious of certain characters if they've given him a reason to be. To strangers and those of another pack, he is an intimidating figure, but to his family, he is a role model that is well-respected.

Likes:

A good hunt, racing the Scouts, romping with pups, thunderstorms, pleasant conversations.

Dislikes:

Loners, injustices, lazy wolves, lack of respect, the neighbors of the Meadows.

History:

When he was just a young pup, he was the oldest of two; he has a rambunctious younger sister, and it's always been obvious he loves her very much. His mother's name was Shaddox, and she was a very eccentric character; she was Alphess to Midnight's father, Zuke, and they made quite the team. Together they raised Midnight and his sister, Star, as dignified wolves. They were the heirs to the Forest Fire's territory, whether they were to accept that responsibility in the future or not. It was obvious from their early puphood that Midnight was the more dominant one, whereas Star was more curious and loved to play.

They grew and hit their yearling birthday. By now, they had been appointed roles; they were both trained as Soldiers, for their determination to protect those around them. Midnight worked hard, but it was obvious that he had his eye set on becoming leader someday, when he was ready for it. Meanwhile his parents had another pup, a runty female, which they named Lilly. Midnight grew very fond of her when she began to wander outside of the old den. His mother, on the other hand, seemed weak and found it hard to recover from the birth. As the weeks passed, she never seemed to get better, only worse.

Eventually, Shaddox grew too sick that it killed her, and Lilly was left to be raised by the rest of the pack. Zuke was heartbroken and sometime later, retired his position as Alpha. Midnight stepped in and took leadership and grew. Leading the pack through harsh winters and becoming the Alpha the pack knows today.
